AN ORIGINAL OIL PAINTING OF A COUNTRY WOMAN WEAVING STRAW BASKETS
An attractive and decorative original oil painting of a country woman seated on a chair amid a straw-covered barn floor, weaving straw baskets. Finished baskets sit on a ledge above her, and oak barrels with supplies sit beside her. Brightness, contrast and color rendition are well-executed. The painting is signed at the lower right, 'Kadushin', a Miami, Florida, artist who died about 20 years ago. She was a well-known local artist. Condition of the painting is excellent, as is the wood frame, a decoratively-distressed rustic wood frame with a well-patinated gray weathered appearance which complements the painting perfectly.
