Description: AN ORIGINAL OIL PAINTING OF A COUNTRY HOUSE WITH POTTED FLOWER GARDEN

An attractive and serene landscape scene of the front of a country house in Colombia. A block wall leading to the house with barrel-tiled roof holds a variety of colorful potted flowers, with other flower-filled pots along its base. A large tree dense with green leaves and violet flowers overhangs and dominates the entire scene. Dimensions of this painting are 39" high by 32" wide, and condition is excellent. The artist has signed this work at lower right, 'Villanueva', and it was created circa the 1990's. The frame is of elegant rounded and decorated wood that is patinated in a dark brown antique gilt finish. The off-white canvas shows some minor scuffing, mostly at the top.
