AN ORIGINAL OIL PAINTING OF WILD DEER IN THE WOODSA finely detailed and realistic original oil painting of a male and female deer pair in an autumn forest setting. The female deer drinks from a small pond or stream, while her mate holds his head high in an alert and attentive stance. Surrounding them in the distance is a forest in autumn, with leaves on the trees beginning to turn their fall colors. The sky in the distance is partially cloud-covered. The deer are realistically portrayed, and the composition is well executed. Dimensions are 12.1 inches high by 16.1 inches wide, and condition is excellent. The painting is bordered by a rough-finished natural wood solid frame which perfectly complements the wooded scene. This painting was done circa the 3rd quarter of the 20th century and is painted on canvas board.
