A charming pair of original paintings by a native Indonesian artist who captures in the primitive or ethnic style many of the daily activities of life in the village. Villagers carry fruits and food on their heads, they churn butter, and they build, among other things.

The extreme detail and intricate line and detail style the artist has utilized in these works is superb, and the composition is tuly amazing as well; these qualities reflect the best of the rich history and tradition of Indonesian painting. The monochromatic blue theme of this pair lends a particular subtlety and attractiveness to this pair of unusual paintings on fabric backed by board. Each painting is bordered by a thin white wood frame, which both show very minor wear due to age. Dimensions are 34.8" high by 8.5" wide.
