A lovely painting of a ballet dancer resting after her practice. The ballerina wears a pink outfit with rose-colored ballet slippers as her red hair lights up the canvas in this work. She sits on a high stool with her head tilted slightly downward, as if deep in thought about her dance routine and perhaps her life in general. The artist has signed and dated this painting at the lower right, 'E. Simon, 1968'. Dimensions are 32.5" high by 17.5" wide, and condition is excellent for its age, 1968. The painting is done on canvas and bordered by a decorated gilt wood frame.
