Description: These 4 silverplate open salts, salt cellars or salt dips with cobalt glass liners date from the 1920-1930s and have an art deco feel. They measure 1.5 inch in diameter at the top, just under 2 inches in diameter at the flared bottom and 1.5 inches high. Although bought as a set in England, two are slightly different in the engraved line decoration placement and there are different makers marks: on 2 is EPandN A1 Sheffield; on 1 is Hornison EPandS Sheffield; and the 4th is marked Primus IEandSS. Three of the cobalt liners are in very good condition and the 4th has chipping to the rim. Otherwise a very stylish set in very good ++ condition.
