Description: A 3 7/8-inch silver spoon with a pale gold wash. The top two inches of the handle has a complex decoration of curlicues, scrolls and crowns accented with powder blue and navy blue enamel. The back of the handle is more simply decorated and has the name “Edna” engraved in cursive near the top. Near the base of the handle is a “sterling” stamp and the B with a dagger of the R. Blackington & Co. of North Attleboro, Massachusetts. The gold wash is worn thin in places and the surface has a matte finish to complement the enameling.
