OMEGA GLOBEMASTER CONSTELLATION 14k GOLD ARROWHEAD GUILLOCHE DIAL BOMBAY CASE BUMPER Caliber 354 Circa: 1952. 35mm in diameter by 44mm in height by 11mm thick. Fine and rare.
This is one of the first ConstellationOne of the very earliest Omega Constellation Models. However, in North America at the time, the name "Constellation" was the registered property of another company, and so Omega's Constellation watches were promoted and distributed in American under the appellation "Globemaster. This situration lasted until 1956 when an agreement on the name was finally reached.
The classic style unique to early Constellation models is very evident; 1) The case is an original solid 14k gold Bombay lug style with the stars in the Observatory on back like new; 2) The tapestry Arrowhead Constellation dial has been professionally restored to this spectacular impression; and 3) The overall condition is superb. The original bumper or "Hammer" automatic is fully functional and all original. Comes with the original Logo crown and Logo buckle. Everything about this watch points to excessive desirability and is especially collectible.

DIAL: Professionally restored with the name: "Constellation". Two-Tone off white with applied solid gold Arrowhead figures with pointer hands with sweep second and original Dauphine hands. Signed "OMEGA/ AUTOMATIC/ CHRONOMETER/ Constellation". The tapestry original surface patterns have been carefully and professionally restored. Unique Omega early Constellation dial.
MOVEMENT: 3/4 plate rose, pendent set, Caliber "354", Adjusted Five (5) Positions and Temperature, #13,146,458. Plates free of distraction, blemish, rust, or wear, excellent color. Original to the case.
CASE: Snap back early original Omega Bombay style (thick teardrop turn down lug design), with the Omega Observatory on back free of wear. Best indication is the crisp condition of all eight stars in the foreground. Please view the 14k .585 fine hallmarks on inside back with the image provided. Very, very nice.
