Description:
Here is a very rare four arm student lamp all in the original nickel silver with shades that are opal ring neck, as you can see, and open chimneys. On the chimney holder ring it reads Manhattan Brass Co NY Pat May 23 76 Dec 25 77 May 20 79. The last patent date on the chimney holder is 1879. It has a plaque on one of the arms which reads as follows: Bricht & Co Late Arcand & Co Bruton St. The huge canister style font is adjustable having a stop ring underneath. The lamp has never been wired it is still in the original oil kerosene burning condition. There is no apology for the lamp in any way it is absolutely just as we found it and as it has been since probably 1879 or some where around that time period. It is a huge and spectacular piece. It would be a totally exceptional item for the partner’s desk in the law office or just as an extravagant example for oil kerosene lamp collection. The overall diameter of lamp is 19 ½” x 25 ½” at highest and the shade base measures 6”.
