Description: This is an original framed oil painting on board by Otto Paul Herbig (1881-1954) in the 1920s (my grandfather) as a way to clean his brushes at the end of the day painting the backgrounds for all the dioramas at the Museum of Natural History in San Francisco, California. He is a Listed artist in Davenports. The frame was added in the last 20 years and is a vintage gesso swirl with gold highlights and some show of age and paint loss on back. The framed work measures 15 inches by 13 inches and the board measures 11 inches by 10 inches. The painting depicts a yacht coming across a marine vessel. He liked painting water scenes. I'd like to keep it but am downsizing. It is very evocative. Shipping in the US by USPS priority insured with tracking is $16.00.
