Description: We are handling the art portfolio/estate of the late Amalia Ferri (East Longmeadow MA), b1908 d1998. She was a student at the Springfield Art School and studied under listed artists Marion Huse and Adolph Aldrich. Ms Ferri worked in many mediums all with a regionalist/expressionist flare. Although she did study under these two listed artists she did develop her own style. This oil on canvas is approx 16x18" and housed in a very nice Belgian frame. The oil on canvas painting has one very small hole through the canvas on the right side. The still life scene has a blue pitcher with flowers, mandolin, long gloves and what I believe is a playbill with mother and child. Both the mandolin and the pitcher have an impasto paint style giving the painting nice depth. Deep rich colors, signed on stretcher Amalia Ferri Still Life.
