Description:
Most unusual fancy quartered oak vanity. This piece has a central beveled glass mirror (some normal fading of the silvering) with carving at the top, and two shaped side mirrors that pivot (see photo). Four shapely turned finials adorn the top supports. There are substantial open carvings between the mirrors. The backs of the two outside mirrors feature an inset quartered oak panel with applied carving held in with a rope molding. Two curved jewelry drawers are above the surface. The base has a serpentine front with three drawers with cast brass hardware. There is contact paper on the bottoms of all the drawers. This could easily be removed. Gentle curved legs with carving at the tops are in the front. This is a very attractive and utilitarian piece. We have never had this form before! Circa: 1900 Dimensions: 64.5"H x 38"W x 21"D Finish: Cleaned original or refinished in the past Price: $3750.00
