Description:
This handsome quarter sawn oak roll top desk is of superior quality. Its size is perfect for the home or office. Notice the multiple raised panels on the sides, back and even in the chair opening. All the drawers have raised panel fronts with fancy carved pulls. The center drawer has its original working lock. There is a pull out writing surface on either side. One side has 4 drawers and the other has 3 drawers. The tambours are in excellent condition and the "S" shaped roll top raises and lowers smoothly. It has its original fancy cast brass key escutcheon and working lock with key. Cast in the keyhole covering is the manufacturer Stout Bros. 919-921 Arch St. Philadelphia, Pa. The desk has a wonderful interior having 2 pencil drawers, 6 pull-out file drawers with brass pulls and card holders, one large drawer with fancy carved pull and 24 different sized cubbies for storage. This desk is designed to come apart I 3 large pieces for ease in transporting. The finish is in excellent condition having a rich color and patina.
