Description:
This sweet, small, 7 piece, solid oak dining or dinette set consists of a table, 4 chairs, china closet and server. The table measures 32" X 44" and has one 12" wide leaf. The 4 chairs measure 33" tall, 16" wide and 17" deep. The seats need reupholstering, which can be easily accomplished by unscrewing 4 screws and lifting the seat out and recovering using a staple gun - simple! All the chairs are tight, with no breaks. The china closet measures 63.5" tall, 30" wide and 14" deep. Inside the 2 glass doors are 2 shelves with double plate grooves. Below is one drawer. The server measures 34.5" tall, 41" wide and 18" deep. Notice the 2 small drawers on your right and doors on the left. This set retains its original finish, which is in excellent condition. Notice the incised carved and ebonized deco pattern on all the pieces. Note the label on the set identifying it as made by the Spiegel Furniture Co. in Shelbyville, Indiana. What we found interesting is that the Cumberland Supply Co.-a previous occupant of our present building originally sold it. Kinda cool, huh? What a fun set for a large kitchen or small dining room.
