Description:
Here's a great 2 for 1 deal! !! News about the early days of fighting in VIET NAM - and also a headline article concerning an EARLY FLIGHT in the the U.S. SPACE PROGRAM! This is the FRONT PAGE (and a few other pages, as well - NOT a complete paper) dated August 19, 1965 of the West Central Daily Tribune (Morning edition) from Willmar, Minnesota. The paper is in used condition, but the articles are complete and readable (probably suitable for framing, as well!)
The Viet Nam article concerns "the first set battle the Marines have fought in Viet Nam" (near Chu Lai, in the Van Tuong Peninsula.)
The SPACE article talks about L. GORDON COOPER and CHARLES CONRAD, JR. preparing "to embark today on man's longest orbital voyage, and eight-day mission during which they will attempt the first rendevous with another satellite." Insurance is included in shipping and handling. Contact seller for international rates.
