*Cover/Exterior - cover boards are Like New, evincing no shelf/edge wear or surface handling
*Binding/Spine - tightly intact
*Interior Contents - overall, the majority of interior pages remain crisp and evince no noted handling, writing, foxing, markings or odors of any kind. Being mentioned merely for purposes of accuracy is the existence at the very bottom edges of pages 65-88 (well away from the image areas) of the faintest modicum of rippling (not visible but only apparent when one’s fingers are run across the lowest edge of paper surface) and a very nominal discoloration mark in the exact same formation and on the exact same section of each of these pages (the very bottom edges). Since the book itself is in such “Like New” condition otherwise, we do not know how to account for these marks occurring on only these page edges.

***EXCERPT: “Needlery is an innovative approach to stitchery that combines classic needlepoint and embroidery techniques with elegant, unusual materials to create beautiful works of needle art you’ll be proud to display. Here are patterns and instructions for twenty-six (26) charming gifts, dramatic pictures, unique articles of clothing and other striking decorator pieces for your home. And you can do it! Even if you’ve never held yarn and canvas before, there are projects here you’ll find simple, satisfying, rewarding...The projects are outstanding, beautiful, distinctive, appealing, and include both contemporary and traditional designs. The lace-trimmed Heart Pillow looks like a Victorian valentine; a delicate petit-point seashell set into a bargello background reflects the subtlety of nature...and there are so many more. The experienced needleworker can create an exquisite cover for a photo album...a beautiful needlery vest destined to become an heirloom...a charming yoke for an old-fashioned long dress. To please your favorite children with your needle skills, you can stitch a royal lion on a jungle print fabric...a doll of needlery and calico...a tiny seat for a doll’s rocking chair. And there are still more projects, arranged from A to Z, including something for every kind of taste and for everyone on your gift list...You’ll find the basics of both needlepoint and embroidery with clear diagrams for every stitch and technique. The step-by-step instructions for each project include a materials list, pictures of the stitches you’ll use, complete instructions for finishing, photos in both color and black-and-white, and charts and line drawings to illustrate every step. You’ll learn unusual techniques such as stitching on perforated paper and disposable canvas, working with seam binding instead of yarn, and several methods of applique. And the unique project, Quilt, includes many suggestions for using the special stitches, yarns and flosses in new and exciting ways. In addition, there’s a guide to designing your own needlery projects, a list of museums that own and display fine needlework, and a list of suppliers who handle needlework materials. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced needleworker, you’ll be delighted with the unique designs, the clear instructions, the lively ideas in NEEDLERY.”
