Description: Shop Sign which which hung from Nautical Antique shop in Portland, Maine. Hand crafted by the owner, Stevens Dana Bunker. famed,long time dealer in rare and exotic marine antiquities in Baltimore and Portland. Quality craftsmanship throughout. Nicely weathered. Painted black with gold leaf. Stands approx. 47" high by 35" wide at base. Frame of lumber approx. 1 1/2" thick. A very realistic depiction of a late 18th century octant. Heavy!
