Description:
This is a Native American Indian leather pouch which has been hand black around the front flap and two lines down the middle. Between these lines is a strip of leather which has been woven in and out down the front and tied in a knot at the bottom of the flap. A leather strip has been used as binding and sewn around the edge with white cotton thread. There is a loop at the bottom for the button knot to secure the pouch closed. Below the loop is a tassle. The inside is divided into two sections by a triangular piece of leather. The binding has come apart about 1" down one side. A 30" braided black dyed strap is used to hang the pouch around the neck. This pouch is in used condition.
