NATIONAL WATCH Co. B.W. RAYMOND ADJUSTED KEY WIND/KEY SET 3oz. SILVER OPEN FACE Circa: 1873. This Early Elgin Grade was selected by The Pennslyvania Railroad Company as their official Railroad timekeeper. OFten refered by American collectorys as the first American Railroad Grade, this model was the best or among the most accurate of it's day. This watch comes with the original high grade double sunken porcelain dial and silver open face case. A very handsome key wind and still clean, running and accurate. American pocket watches produced prior to 1873 hold a premium value and are especially collectible among American Western Frontier enthusiasts. Clean, running and accurate.

DIAL: Hairline free original high grade double sunken dial with Roman figures and marked: "NATIONAL WATCH Co."
MOVEMENT: 18 size, key wind/key set, full plate gilt, signed "ADJUSTED", and "B.W. Raymond", 15 jewels, all screw down Sapphire jewel settings, No. 182,568. Bright color, free of scratches, blemish or distraction.
CASE: Double hinged back and bezel, marked: "3" (3 ounches of coin silver), plain polished surfraced, free of dings, or distraction. All lids closes tight. Mint, original heavy beveled crystal.
