Description: Napoleon III, French gilt ormolu mounted abalone shell hinged, trinket box with abalone shell base and two scrolled handles. Beautifully embossed, raised band with scrolls and flourishes. Measures 3 1/2" tall by approximately 4 1/2 wide (handle to handle). The casket has nice depth to store your most valued treasures or jewels and we've seen these on elegant table setting to display candy as well, an exquisite box which remains in excellent condition with no damage at all.
