Description:
We offer a magnificent and highly impressive Egyptian Revival clock. Dating from the period 1860-70 the clock takes the form of a pharoh's temple with spynhxes to the sides. The temple is covered with heiroglyphics.
The clock runs and strikes. The face is black and gilt.
To the front is an unengraved presentation plaque. On the sides of the clock are symbolic birds.
The slate or marble is in excellent condition with no chips or breaks. To the top of the clock is a symbolic vessel and its top resembles that of a pharoh's headdress. It is only here that a washer appears to be missing.
