Description: This Napoleon III (1850) rosewood game table has beautiful carbiole legs and scroll feet. There are acanthus leaves carved on the knees and feet of this piece. The center apron is carved with a large rose surrounded by leaves and two daisies. The back legs of the table pull out in what is called "concertina action" so that the table may be opened for cards or other parlor games. The playing surface is covered in old green blaize with leather banding tooled in the Greek key pattern. The piece is has its original finish and is in beautiful condition. This is a very upper end game table and is rare and lovely.
