Description: This is a 1944 printing of book #2 - The Hidden Staircase in the series of 56 books. It has the original dust jacket with the white spine and it would be classified as fair as the jacket has several tears that have been taped many tears ago as the tape has yellowed with age. The dust jacket is complete with some corner and edge wear and spine end chipping. The book itself is in excellent condition. It is the blue cover with the orange lettering and the orange and white silhoutte endpages. The front endpage has a previous owners name written on the top of the page. It has 25 chapters and all 206 pages are intact with no markings or tears. It lists to #21 - The Secret in the Old Attic. It is now in a mylar covering to prevent future wear.
