Description:
Collector Bookstore is a retailer of new books located in Leavenworth, Kansas. We specialize in price guides and reference books for the antiques and collectibles industry. Table of Contents George and Annette Klabin have assembled a world class collection of some of the rarest pieces of attractive, highly decorated Moser glass from the late 1800's to the early 1900's. Portions of this collection have been exhibited at the Corning Museum of Glass in Corning, New York. High quality examples of Moser Art Glass are rare and coveted by knowledgeable collectors of contemporary glass. The company founded by Ludwig Moser in 1857 became famous for combining decorative techniques such as engraving, cutting, and enameling, with color, texture and form, to create some of the world's finest examples of artistic glass. In its time, Moser glass was collected by royalty and other important personnages and was justifiably called ""The Glass of Kings"". This book is a catalogue of the highlights of the Klabin Collection with excellent examples of the tremendous variety, brilliant creativity, and intricate workmanship that inspired this remarkable style of glass. Great attention has been paid to accurate reproduction of design details and color of the pieces displayed.
