Description:
A Moorish theme? An Eastlake Victorian style? Just looking for plain old comfort? This platform rocker and ottoman can provide all this. Though the upholstery is several years old, it is still in very usable condition. The fully tufted back is framed in a pleated border to enhance the opulent feeling that was so Victorian. The same treatment can be seen in the accompanying ottoman which is a close match. Burled plaques on the arms, incised carvings on the legs and the traditional sunflower detail on the skirt are typically Victorian motifs. However, it is very unusual to find a large chair like this that also doubles as a rocker. The mechanism is hidden behind the fabric at the base. The front legs have wheels, the back legs are splayed out to support the reclining back. A separate pillow is included. Upholstery color is actually a sage green, dusty rose, and periwinkle blue tapestry.
