Description: 1920's Art Deco French gilt bronze Catholic church monstrance, measuring 30-1/2" high overall, designed for holding the eucharistic host, the figure of Mary has raised arms "holding the host", she stands on a globe of golden amber colored bakelite, the lunette, which is the holder for the sacred host is made of gilt silver (see close-up of French hallmarks), hinged with glass covers, it slips into the back of the monstrance (see pictures), the radiating rays around the host area show some tarnishing or discoloration, but the rest of this magnificent monstrance is in wonderful condition.
