Description: Just exquisite - Sheraton period looking glass circa 1800-1820. This is one very outstanding & rare find! This frame is carved wood, gesso & fiery gold leaf with the original paper label on back that reads “Made by Edward Lothrop, Boston.“ It is a very impressive 46"W x 31"H. It has the original mirror glass which is now showing its age. It is getting a little worn & some what dull –It has been my experience that some people who have bought this type of mirror intended to put a new mirror in & then put the original mirror away, so that they would always have the original mirror – Some people could care less if the mirror is original or not & just replaced the mirror because they just wanted it to look good! I have several Sheraton mirrors in stock at the moment & they are all quite spectacular. So if you’re looking for another size let me know – This particular Boston Mirror is a unusually large size one for this period.
