Description: This is a beautiful large platter made by Minton & Company of Stoke, Staffordshire Potteries, England circa 1882. This platter is in the Keele pattern and is 19 inches long by 15 inches wide. The colors are perfect for the fall/Thanksgiving or for the Christmas Holidays with reds, golds, greens and browns. The back is marked with the printed Globe mark with Mintons (with and S) on the back and the pattern name. The S was added after 1872 and used for many years. It is also impressed with - Mintons - and the marks of the month, potter's mark and the year, which is 1882. There is some staining in the pottery as well crazing in the glaze. There are no chips, flakes or cracks.
