Description: Gainborough style, with hat and full 18th Century dress. The actual miniature measures 2 1/2" x 2", while the frame measures 4 1/2" x 4". The actual painting is in excellent shape, while the frame shows wear and is missing some of its raised border. Its easel stand works perfectly, however. This piece is likely English, and dates from the mid Nineteenth Century.
