Bronze Patinated figurine of Chronos or Father Time
This miniature antique French Gilt Bronze mantel clock is made in France in the second part of the 1800’s.
Miniature clocks were mainly made to perfectly fit in any book cabinets. Now it is a nice collector item.
The clock is ornate with patinated bronze figure of Chronos or Father Time.
Chronos (Cronos) is an elderly bearded man with large wings carrying a Scythe.
Fine moulded gilt bronze case with charming curly Louis XV style elements is based on green marble.
The clock is in very good antique condition. Enamel dial with Arabic numerals in perfect condition.
Dial equipped with gilt pierced hands and signed: E &R Altenloh Bruxelle. In front dial is protected by an original glass door.
French movement is with balance wheel which is replaced, all in good working condition.
Movement stamped with serial number 1071. Key included.
