Description: American Hen: c. 1899; Made by E. C. Flaccus Company of Wheeling West Virginia. It was produced at time of the Spanish American War and has the American Eagle "Hen" sheltering three Eggs with her spread out wings. Each egg is named, Porto Rica, Cuba, and Philippines. The bottom is marked, PAT APPLIED FOR. 6 1/2" long x 3 1/2" tall. Tuft on bird head has tiny ruff feeling likely from glass molding. Bottom fine, also has slight blems from glass molding.
