Description: Nineteenth century English credenza, walnut and burl walnut veneers, carved and inlaid, with central marble top sliding backward only to reveal hidden secret compartment. Matching burl veneers at side area (see photo). Exquisite carving and inlay work throughout. Meshed storage areas need new pleated material or the mesh can be replaced with old mirrors for a different look. Each storage area has its own shelf. All original locks work. This is a unique piece that can be the focal point in any room. This was used as a server in a dining room. Linens were stored in the meshed areas. Silver was stored in the drawers. Dimensions: 60" by 16" deep by 37 1/2" height
