Produced by Metlox Pottery Co., c1970 this cookie jar depicts the story of Noah waiting out the flood with his animal friends on the ark. A dove and owl are on the roof. The windows along one side contain a brown bear family, a hippopotamus, and a smiling polar bear. A rooster and hen are perched on the side of the ark. The windows on the other side of the ark show two lions, Noah with a dove perched on a tree limb, a cat and mouse, and a blue elephant reaching with his trunk to touch a mouse. At the bow of the ark, are a pair of smiling seals and a pair of crocodiles snuggling against a camel a second camel is at the stern. also the stern are two monkeys and sheep. Measures 9 1/2 inches long by 6 1/2 inches wide by 9 inches high with the roof on and is in excellent condition
