Description:
Old colorful metal child's lunch box with hinged lid and metal handle. Imprinted with design of toys on the top and various scenes picturing a little blonde girl all around the sides with what appears to be Italian words. The scenes are: Girl coming home from market with baskets of food and her little dog at her feet; Girl riding in her cart with donkey pulling it with dog running beside; Girl gathering eggs from hen's nest; Girl taking buckets of milk from the cows in the barn with the dog at her feet; Girl making bread in the kitchen at the table with dog by her side; Girl serving fresh baked bread and cake with doggie at her heels. This tin has some rust and paint loss due to age, but still very vibrant colors. There appears to have been a latch of some kind on the front, but it is gone. Inside the lid reads "Ditta Antonio Bertolini Cornio". I read somewhere that this came with tootsie rolls packed inside, but I do not know this for a fact.
