STUNNING VICTORIAN J. & J. W. MEEKS STANTON HALL LAMINATED ROSEWOOD SIX PIECE PARLOR SET
This marvelous six piece Victorian Rococo Revival laminated rosewood parlor set was meticulously crafted by J. & J. W. Meeks, circa 1860's. Meeks captured the epitome of opulent elegance of the times in the creation of this set know as the " Stanton Hall " pattern and featured in the Stanton Hall Mansion in Natchez, Mississippi. One can also view this fine antique furniture in the pages of the reference book American Furniture of the 19 Centry by Richard & Elieen Dubrow, page 99. Meeks was one of John Herny Belter's closest competitiors.
Features include a sofa, pair of arm chairs, pair of serpentine seat side chairs and one round seat side or ladies chair, laminated rosewood, distinctive open scrollwork carvings, floral accents, cabriole legs, serpentive seats and is presented to you with like new buttoned & tufted burgundy silky uphostery fabric. The sofa features the double French flute tufting design.
We had the entire set professionally restored, minor repairs completed, so that it could be presented to you in fabulous condition, circa 1860's.
