  Description:

  A vintage 2 3/4 X 4 1/8" paper thin boxing card of Max Schmelling and Jack Sharkey heavyweight title fight, New York, 1932. This paper card is German, written in German so I can't read it. Looks to be advertising for a product - Sanella Margarine? Color scene shows fighters toe-to-toe with information on the back. Sharkey won this split decision even though it appeared Schmelling had the advantage. Thus the phrase was born "We Wuz Robbed!" There is a date on the back - February 1933. Unusual vintage boxing paper card!

  Condition:

  Nice condition with light ++ overall wear. Paper card is a bit wrinkled and a teeny, tiny tear on one edge. Looks good.
