Description: Vintage bucket shaped Mauchlinware item. Front has print of Stirling Castle & Cemetery. Rear has words: “ Bought in the Douglas Room of the Royal Palace of Stirling. “Ye Towers within whose circuit dread, a Douglas by his Sovereign bled” “. Looks like yew wood. Measures 5.8 cm high and top; is 10.3 cm wide including handles (2.1/4 inches by 4 inches). Some dirt, but in very good condition. Late 19th or early 20th century.
