Description: For sale is a vintage matte aqua McCoy pottery flying birds jardinaire. c:1920's-30's. Nice big jard, shown on pg. 31, Vol. 2. It is almost 7 tall x 7.25 wide. Thick, heavy. I have another one for sale separately where pattern is more defined; this one is a bit lumpier. Has pinpops; glaze misses and a one 1.5 inch firing separation line on upper rim. This is a crack that happens during firing of pottery in a kiln; it is not a hairline or handling crack. The edges of it are smooth where glaze filled into the line so I consider it a minor Mcflaw. These are great jards for live or silk orchids.
