Description:
Ay, chihuahua! You won't go unnoticed in this incredibly impressive old necklace! Constructed of brass and copper metals, the face is what's termed "Mexican jade," that probably being dyed calcite in this case.
The pendant, from top to bottom of center dangle, measures a mind-boggling 4 3/4" long x 4 1/4" at its widest point. Signed "Mexico" on its underside. The brass chain measures approx. 24" around and has a fish-hook clasp.
There are little strips of verdigris (Can anybody tell me how to remove that stuff???) at either side of the centerpiece atop the warrior's head. There is also a bit to the side of center dangle, which is not visible when the necklace is worn. Otherwise, this accessory is in excellent vintage condition. Probably c. the 1940s-'50s.
Within the USA, shipping is $4.35 USD and insurance is included.
Worldwide, shipping and insurance are determined after checkout.
