Description: Mary Spencer Nay, an artist from Crestwood, Kentucky was born in 1913. She was an artist from early age and grew up to teach art at the University of Louisvillle, Ky for nearly 40 years. Nay was deftly modernistic with a cubist touch and a surrealist's delight in the mysterious. She liked to use different mediums and this drawing is feather-brushed for a different oriental look and is signed "Mary Spencer Nay '46. The drawing itself is 9.5 inches x 13 inches and framed with a black frame, the total size is 20.5 inches wide x 19.5 inches wide. The matting around the drawing has a couple dark spots.
