Description: Beautifully engraved certificate from the Marshfield Theatre Company issued in 1912. This historic document has an ornate border around it with a vignette of two allegorical women and an allegorical man. This item is hand signed by the Company’s President (O. T. Crawford) and Secretary and is over 90 years old. The certificate was issued to and signed on the verso by O. T. Crawford.
Certificate Vignette In 1908, O T CRAWFORD produced the THE JAMES BOYS IN MISSOURI. This was 1st known movie about Jesse James, the highlands bandit. Featured "some excellent work by genuine cowboys who know how to ride." When O T Crawford died in 1917, this film was remembered as having had considerable success. Based on a popular stage play.
