Description: New York: American News Company, 1874. Mark Twain's ""Sketches,"" first edition, second state, authorized edition number one. Soft cover with illustrations by R.T. Sperry. 8vo, green decorated wrapper with advertisement of ""Aetna Life Insurance Company"" on the rear of wrapper. Enclosed in a half red morocco slip case which is marked ""Made in England."" Owner information pasted inside of front. Wrapper has slight wear to corners and edges. A few discoloration marks. Otherwise excellent condition.
