Description: Marion Huse (1896-1967) painter, printmaker & educator. Catalog and exhibit put on by Brockton Art Museum "An Artists Evolution" 1985 , memorial exhibit put on by George Walker Vincent Smith Museum in Springfield. Founder of Springfield art school 1925-40 and regional director of MA WPA federal art project. Attended New School of Design Boston, Carnegie Institute, Cape Cod school of art in Provincetown. Member Boston society independent artists, Southern VT AA, American color print society, national serigraph society, Albany art guild & print club, Scituate AA, south shore AA and Cape Cod AA. Widely exhibited with prizes won, held in many permanent collections of museums. This watercolor is newly matted in acid free mat board and framed in plain black frame. The w/c itself is approx 5x8", signed and dated in ll. This is probably a NY state or VT landscape.
