Description:
This walnut marble top cabinet is of exceptional quality with unique detailing. The original beautiful black and gold Egyptian style marble has a complicated moulded edge and is in excellent condition. The shape of this cabinet or server is extremely appealing, having serpentine sides. Notice the burled walnut raised panels below the marble on all 3 sides. The center panel has a delicate carving flanked by additional carvings on either side. The center panel disguises a long narrow drawer. Below are 2 recessed burled walnut doors having additional delicate carving in each panel. The door retains its original working lock and key - complete with silk tassel. Check out the interior. There are 4 pullout shelves with sides - perfect for linens or silver. On the outside of each door is an acanthus leaf carving, which is repeated on the front scrolling feet. The finish is original and in excellent condition having a rich color and patina. This cabinet could easily serve a variety of uses and compliment almost any room in the house.
