Sister Corita, the abstract artist, was known as something of a liberal renegade in the 1960s and 1970s and later renounced her vows, I understand. This updated version of the Book of Psalms features text by Leslie F. Brandt. There are three two-page illustrations inside employing Sr. Corita's typically bright primary colors, as well as featuring her art on the front and back covers, which are on the hardback book itself as well as on the dust jacket. Book is 222 pages long and was published in 1973. There is a handwritten quote and an inscription on the inside front page as this book was given as a gift in the Seventies. Book is still well-bound and basically in excellent vintage condition. Only signs of age are a bit dirt around the narrow edges of the cover and a modicum of wear to the dust jacket. Book will be sent via media mail. Domestic postage includes insurance.
