Description: Fabulous Turn of the century Coffee collectible for those of you who know Manning Bowman made these, the top is made of heavy Pewter, sculpted like a Stein, Handle and spout also very stein-like! The old Manning Bowman catalogs and designs can be seen on the web and you can see how the designs progressed! Such an interesting part of our American Coffee history! I love coffee too! So this coffee pot captured my heart, and I'm sure it will capture yours! It is hard to part with, but I must, as many other things are hard to part with, this piece has very little in the way of damage for it's many years of life. The inside is in very good condition, has very little loss of enamel as you can see in the photos.Just a bit on the inner edges inside the base. This pot can be used to serve coffee in, that's how clean it is!The base has some wear as well, there is some exposed copper on the base rim. The little pin that holds the hinged lever is loose, if you open and close the lid, it will work it's way out. I keep pushing it back in, but there may be a better way of securing it, a professional would know best how to do that. Other than that one flaw, this piece is a rare find, the decoration of the grain mill house on the outside is even RARER! You will see florals everywhere, but THIS one, you will NOT!Adding this to your collection will definitely be a "score". Most sellers think their floral enamel and pewter coffee pots are French, because there are no markings, but the Manning Bowman Enamelware Pearl Line rarely is marked. (Due to the heavy weight of this item and unknown dollar amount of shipping outside of the USA I will not be selling/shipping this item outside of the United States.)
