Description: Capturing a bright, summer day, this remarkably smashing artwork “Man and His Dog” is a high quality reproduction of a delightfully and expertly rendered watercolor painting. O’Hara masterfully captures the details of the bark on the tree on the right side of the painting through his use of the fine lines and smooth tonal transitions, as the shadows and gravel marks of the pathway in the foreground are amazingly captured with O’Hara’s pinpoint brushmarks and attention to detail. The mastery of detail throughout this beautiful, panoramic view can be seen by the motion of the grass to the awe striking technicality in the small figurative work of the man and his dog. This remarkable quality giclee print is embellished by an ornate wooden frame of high caliber, valuing at least $300. The outline of the frame, has a golden carved design that enhances warm hues of the watercolor. To further complement the giclee, a double matt of an elegant moss, green suede is used to complement the warm hues and an inner crisp white for a sharp outline of “Man and His Dog”. The giclee and frame measures a total of 31” x 24”. Signed in the bottom right corner, this “Man and His Dog” is an example of artistic genius. This giclee will increase in value and is an extraordinary giclee print at a modest price. Jack O'Hara was born January 27, 1921 in Kansas City, MO. He attended the University of Kansas, Kansas City Art Institute and the American Academy of Art in Chicago. He is a member of the American Watercolor Society and has exhibited in numerous juried shows. O’Hara is a well known Kansas City artist and a nationally known artist who was good friends with Tom Watson, known for his oil and watercolor representational landscape paintings of Cape Cod. O’Hara currently resides in Shawnee Mission, Kansas.
