Description:
This small, 80 page book is a treasure of antique optical and
kinetic toys. It covers the history and inventors of such toys as
the thaumatrope, phenakistoscope, zoetrope, kaleidoscope,
peepshow, changing slides, praxinoscope, and more. Many of
the toys are shown in a photograph of a vintage item and then
directions are given to make your own version of each of them.
There is one color image of a zoetrope with reels and the
balance of the book is printed in brown and red.
The book is pristine in an excellent dust jacket and would be of
interest to antique toy collectors as well as those wishing to
make optical and kinetic toys.
This item will be shipped from Maryland. It can be combined
