Description:
This fantastic Neoclassical chandelier, c. 1910, boasts silver plating over bronze. This chandelier commences with a classic Neoclassical canopy, which displays a rope band around the top. The body is open framed style with a fluted and gadrooned ring serving as this piece’s focal point. Within the chandelier’s center resides a ribbed baluster style rod, which displays a tassel style bottom finial and a very ornate loop style top finial. Extending from the center rod are five S-curved arms, which meet the outer ring between each of the five lights. The simple bobeches, as well as each arm, are buttoned to the ring using florets. This gorgeous five light chandelier exhibits graceful charm. This chandelier is in excellent condition, it has been professionally rewired, and it comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The overall diameter is 18”; the length of the chandelier only is 19 ¼”; the overall length is 43”. This chandelier has a signature within the ring (see last image).
