Description:
This solid mahogany tall chest of drawers is often referred to as a bonnet chest due to the small door to store hats. The dresser has its original shapely beveled mirror with carved crest. It is attached to fancy carved supports with brass posts allowing it to swivel for better viewing. Notice the variety of serpentine shaped drawers. All the drawers have their original cast brass pulls and working locks. The chest sets on carved scrolled feet. The finish is original and is excellent condition having a rich color and patina. The chest was made by the Widdicomb Furniture Company, which is a highly regarded manufacturer. This chest would look great with a variety of pairs of twin beds or full size beds that we currently have in stock.
